The Extra Dose: User Conference Post-Show (Part 3)

We are pleased to share another “Extra Dose” with you. The Extra Dose is a bonus episode of the Framework Focus podcast. This is part three of the three-part FrameworkLTC User Conference Post-Show series. This series contains exclusive conversations live from the show floor with SoftWriters’ team members, exhibitors, partners, and conference attendees, hosted by the Pharmacy Podcast Network’s own Todd Eury.

Part three includes interviews with these voices:

  • Matt Lewis, Chief Commercial Officer, SPS Health

  • Paula Carlock, Chief Operating Officer, RxPartners

  • Simon Beeny, SSI/Meriplex, Vice President of Business Development

  • Scott Beatty, President, SoftWriters

During the interviews, Todd pulls on the threads of the central themes of this year's conference — “Build, Partner, and Serve.” The user conference offered valuable opportunities for pharmacies to engage with exhibitors and partners, allowing them to acquire insights into the best practices and effective tips for utilizing FrameworkLTC. It also provides a forum for discussing key industry topics via breakout sessions and extended conversations.

“It’s been a good ride so far and I think this conference has taught us a lot,” Matt Lewis mentioned. “We’re going to take away a lot of good things and hopefully turn them into solutions that will help the industry.”

During Scott Beatty’s conversation with Todd, he shared some of his vision for the future of Long-Term Care Pharmacy.

”We’ve covered a whole host of exciting topics over the past few days,” Beatty noted. “If you look at the industry, (in the coming years) we’ve got about 20 million additional patients moving into the patient census needing to be served by long-term care.”

Beatty added that this major change in long-term care will affect many aspects of the pharmacy ecosystem including financial and logistics solutions.

”There’s new technology and tools needed to make this effective,” Beatty said. “This partnership ecosystem represented at our conference presents a significant opportunity for us to bring new solutions that make that not only possible but profitable.”
