The Extra Dose: User Conference Post-Show (Part 2)

We are happy to offer another “Extra Dose” to you. The Extra Dose is a bonus episode of the Framework Focus podcast. This is part two of a three-part FrameworkLTC User Conference Post-Show series. This series contains exclusive conversations live from the show floor with SoftWriters’ team members, exhibitors, partners, and conference attendees, hosted by the Pharmacy Podcast Network’s own Todd Eury.

This episode includes interviews with the following:

  • Joshua Porter, VP, Sales and Marketing, SoftWriters

  • Grace Ball, Director, Sales Operations, SoftWriters

  • Julie Martin, Operations Support, Synchrony Health Services

  • Matt Gilbert, VP of Business Transformation and Major Accounts, RxSafe

  • Nicholas Magers, CSO, Mediprocity

During the interviews, Todd skillfully explores the central themes of this year's conference, which revolve around “Build, Partner, and Serve.” The user conference offers valuable opportunities for pharmacies to engage with exhibitors and partners, allowing them to acquire insights into the best practices and effective tips for utilizing FrameworkLTC. It also provides a forum for key industry topics to be discussed via breakout sessions and extended conversations.

“We have some great keynote speakers from outside the industry and some subject matter experts from SoftWriters who are giving presentations to our customer base,” Joshua Porter noted. “We really pride ourselves on being solely dedicated to the long-term care pharmacy space. That is our only mission. We want this conference to be the conference for long-term care pharmacies.”

In the conversation with Grace Ball and Julie Martin, the trio talked about some of the biggest challenges in the ever-changing market of LTC Pharmacy.

”Post-Covid the world has changed. Staffing shortages are huge, reimbursements are down, automation needs are up,” Ball remarked. “Those are three areas that we see affecting the market.”

Later, Todd Eury gauges Nicholas Magers thoughts on what is changing in the world of long-term care.

”I think it’s about to shift away from… phone, paper, fax,” Magers noted. “That reality is becoming the reality in long-term care. That’s what we are facilitating (through secure messaging).”
